Registered North Carolina Contractor
The North Carolina General Statute 89D requires that a person holding him or herself out in any way as a landscape contractor must be duly registered under terms of law.
Why Specify a Registered Landscape Contractor?
- Experience
Minimum three years of experience or combination of experience and formal education is required before examination is permitted.
- Knowledge
Registered Contractors are tested on their knowledge of landscaping practices, ability to read and install landscape plans, and identify plants.
- Reputation
Applicants must provide job and personal references that reflect acceptable moral character before examination is permitted.
- Professionalism
Registered Landscape Contractors shall affix their seal (shown below) on all plans, specifications, and other professional documents prepared by them or under their supervision.
